THE PACKAGE DIFFERENCE

Our Log Home package sets up apart for our competitors because we include many more features. Here are just a few reasons our package is better:

  1. The logs we use in our homes endure a lengthly drying process to reduce their moisture content down to just 18%, which results in the best log possible for a home. The logs are air dried for two years, followed by kiln drying. This process eliminates excessive checking and cracks in homes—a difference you can see

  2. Four species of wood come standard in all our packages

  3. Timbers and rafters are comprised completely of Douglas Fir. While pine timbers often result in bouncing or sagging floors, Douglas fir is a stronger option for floors, roof systems, and porches. Douglas fir has a reddish-brown tone

  4. Heartwood logs—which use the complete center core of every log—are used. Heartwood logs are stronger than regular logs and they result in more even checking. They are the best insulate by thermal mass

  5. Exterior and interior railings are White Cedar

  6. Western Red Cedar exterior. Western Red Cedar resists decay and rot, making it the best wood species for exterior trim. It has a reddish brown tone

  7. 7 3/8” nailbase insulation panels are provided for roof insulation. These energy-efficient panels are installed on timber 2x6 decking when the roof is constructed, eliminating the need and cost for a separate insulation contractor

  8. Sikkens interior and exterior stain. Choose from many colors

  9. All hardware that is needed to complete the construction of your log home, from timber bolts to closet hardware and trim screws

  10. And much more…see our complete Package Content list
